Villas & gardens tour — 2 hours

With two hours you leave the first basin behind and the landscape changes: the mountains close in, villages become small clusters of houses clinging to the rock and the villas hide behind cypresses.

We pass Torno with its church at the water's edge, Laglio with the most private estates on the lake, and reach the Orrido di Nesso gorge with its waterfall. This is the itinerary we recommend to understand how the lake is built without straying far from Como.

Itinerary

   Departure from Como or Cernobbio

   Board at whichever jetty suits you, including straight from your lakeside hotel.

   Torno and Villa Pliniana

   The eastern shore, the Torno harbour and the famous Pliniana with its intermittent spring.

   Laglio

   A compact village between the mountains, home to the area's most private villas.

   Orrido di Nesso

   Approaching the gorge, its stone bridge and waterfall, with a stop for photographs.
